JUDGES
We are honored to have the following three members of our culinary community to be the judges for our competition.
Richard Hattaway
Chef Richard Hattaway is a southern native that has a passion and love for food and beverage, the restaurant industry, and the Pacific NW. He has spent two decades in top kitchens in the Southeast honing his craft and creating simple fresh food.
Scott Peters
Scott is CEO of Columbia REA as well as an avid BBQ Pitmaster. Scott has been perfecting his skills over many years and has perfected the art of delivering mouth watering BBQ every time.
Chris Capps
Scott is the Bistro Chef at the Walla Walla Community College and brings 20 years of experience cooking and managing restaurants to this competition.
Arturo Tello
Chef Arturo Tello is the Executive Chef at Eritage Resort. He is a Walla Walla native and developed a passion for food from a young age, first inspired by his mother's cooking and the flavors that encompass his Latin ancestry. As a graduate of Wine Country Culinary Institute, he has been a part of the culinary industry in the valley for 10 years.
Brad McMasters
Brad McMasters is from Walla Walla, where he lives with his husband and dog. As a lifelong eater and home chef, Brad has a deep appreciation for culinary arts. He is also a former restaurant owner, having managed a 40-seat establishment where he oversaw all aspects of its operation. Brad’s experience and dedication to quality food make him well-suited to serve as a judge for the chili cook-off.
